Accessibility, Disability Studies, human-computer-interaction, literature review

Background

Against the background of social and legal relevance as well as in the context of different projects, the topic of accessibility (barrier-free access, inclusion) is dealt with. The aim is to present the different SoA and discourses.

Task

IT offers opportunities and risks for accessibility. HCI and especially socio-informatics are therefore concerned with developing practical solutions. Among them are solutions that have an influence on the participation of people with disabilities and/or were designed together with them. Create a literature review on “Disability Studies in the field of HCI”.

The systematic literature review should contain, describe and compare an overview of current and relevant publications. The discourses in the field of “Accessibility and HCI” should be elaborated, discussed and research gaps identified.
